Marmalade, Bangsar Village II

Bangsar is always packed with large variety of lunch places, from western to fusion.
I were actually Googling top healthy restaurants in Kuala Lumpur to celebrate Mother's Day with my superwoman and my sister.

Marmalade had a good reputation for being a great place for vegan/healthy food. AND, a good place to bring your kids along, as they provide a play room for those active ones happy. For you information, you do have to be well-prepared for the kids' noise while they're having fun. If you're planning to have a quiet place to have a meeting with your clients or colleague, have a catch up session with your friends, probably this cafe is not for you.

Marmalade is full with calming, happy colours, it makes you feel like home. The moment you enter, the first thing you can see is the glass showcase display fridge is filled up with cakes, pastries and cookies. And I have to admit that, their chocolate chip cookies are pricey, RM 6.50 each, but it taste so damn good * mmhmmm *

Green Goodness // RM 15.00
kale, spinach, cucumber, celery, apple, lemon
My body had been longing for a green smoothie for so long, finally!
** you can also add-on chia seed with the additional RM 3.00

Berry Goodness // RM 15.00
strawberry, banana, yoghurt, honey, milk

Latte // RM 12.00

Full Breakfast // RM 30.00
multigrain toast with tomato-avocado salsa, house-made stewed beans, sauté mushrooms, preservative-free herbed sausage, and a choice of free range eggs ( sunny side up, scrambled, poached )
I have to admit that the stew beans tasted really different from the canned baked beans, it tasted much earthy and organic. For the sausage, to me it's just like normal chicken sausage that you can get from grocery store. Scrambled eggs cook till perfect!

Veggie Goodness // RM 27.00
fluffy egg white omelette with spinach in the inside, feta cheese, grilled haloumi cheese, tomato-avocado salsa, house-made stewed beans,  sauté mushrooms, multigrain toast
We're all very surprised when we saw the egg white omelette, which amazed us the most! It perfectly reminds me of soufflé or cotton candy. The first bite of it sure does feel weird, but to be honest it's not that bad.

Superfood // RM 29.00
mixed lettuce, grilled chicken, avocado, bell peppers, tomatoes, raisins, crushed walnuts with zesty mustard dressing
If you're not a big fan of mustard, no worries, because I actually can't really taste the mustard ;)
The multigrain toast is kind of tough for me, but the grilled cheese chip is so good!
** you can have it as a salad or a wrap
